What color’s the sky, dear? My poor eyes can’t see. It’s blue as a bird’s egg, Grandam, so it be.
What color’s the meadow? My poor eyes can’t see. It’s green as an em’rald, Grandam, so it be.
What color’s the night, dear? My poor eyes can’t see. It’s black as a coal pit, Grandam, so it be.
