It was said that Leonardo Da vinci once was apprenticed to a master painter. His master came over with his brushes to investigate Leonardo's progress on a painting. Upon looking at his apprentices work. It was reported a tear flowed down his cheek. He lay his brushes at Leonardo's feet and never picked them up again.
Such is the case with Rebecca.
Thank you Becky
Written for my beloved wife's birthday this month. May she have a good day .

Your inspirations for writing many of your poems are composed with such love and honor for your children and your wife. Your family is fortunate to have you as you are to have them. It's a such a wonderful life when we have loved ones who truly know the meaning. Another beautifully penned writing!
Pride, joy, fear. A thousand emotions mingled. And it makes me wonder about my own daughter, Crystal. Will she one day ride into the sunset at some boy's side? Or will she need to stay with me until death parts us? So many unknowns...
Beautiful words Tate, appreciating a life well lived, when you look at those around you and appreciate what they have become, what they were and ever shall be, family.
Your words flow effortlessly from the heart that shares that love with them. Beautiful.

The best day, the day I carry with me, is when my husband, holding his newborn son, looking him in his little black eyes, as our boy looked back, with such perfect wonder and joy. Looking into that little face, he breathed, "How can anyone see this and doubt there is a God?"

IDK if he was cool in Iran. But, he was just a guy in the States. I was Goth before there was such a thing. Artists have always been Goth. To create art is to be in a state of a constantly open wound. Every work of art is the artist laying their soul bare on the canvas; that's a raw state to live in. But, as an artist, poet, and singer, in school, I was one of those fringe kids that folks wanted around, but kept at a distance. In college… now, in college, I was cool.
