Regrets, i've had a few...but haven't we all? It is only when we are past the peak of the hill of life and on our way down, that we begin to see those everlasting days of youth and options in the following generations instead of ourselves. And although we can smile at their exuberance, the smile falters a little at the decline of our own.
One day, it will all be behind us, and even in regret, we will hopefully see that we didn't really do all that badly, despite what we think now.
A beautifully poignant and reflective piece Tate. Superb.

'we are in time a mote of dust,
a pin prick in an ocean sky".Our time on earth is short, there is much to learn and we rarely learn by our mistakes. From the moment we are born, we are doomed to die. As you say, not one of us stays. Wonderful read Tate. An accomplished write.

Sadly that is how we are, but not everyone sings from that sheet.
Nice work Tate and how true. You don't realise how fast time travels until you look back! Another faultless presentation and a great song !

I hope so. I think Ill spend a little more time here. I Dont know what caused me to write this one. It was just a thought about how we all are tricked into thinking patriotism is more important than education. Hence we join the military thinking we are doing our part. But in the end its the majority of us who fight for the minority ruling class. I wish we as a society could get over our Waring ways

I have always tried to make my pieces jump off the page if possible.I try to take into account that many of us don't have the eyesight we once had. So I always increase the type size and the flavor of the font. I appreciate that you like them. I try to keep them as short as possible and Since I'm as common as a weed I try to use common language in uncommon ways.Again thank you friend
Brings to mind the hallowed phrase " Once Upon A Time".....the times of our hopes and dreams, tainted at times by our know it all arrogance. How I wished I would have heeded the advice of my elders in their wisdom.....only to repeat it to my children as time revealed those truths to me. Time is not on our side, giving us mere moments for our species to grow...but for a miracle.......Very thought provoking, Tate! Barbz
