Don't we all wonder if another is the one for whom we were meant?
How many lifetimes must we pass by before our soul finds it's hearts desire?
This was for the green eyes cased in Honey Hue, that I once knew.
May she find this dream to be her own .

This piece simply makes me swoon in the ideals of such times. This is by far, one of my favorites. Tate, you have donr it again, made me simply have to stop and stare at the beautiful scene you have laid out here. "Are we destined to always be,
just passing strangers in the night" Even for a moment to pass by one so precious, it would be worth a lifetime. I can nearly hear the brass band in the distance.
The Lord Jesus Christ has blessed me with many wonderful blessings in life--but love was never one of them. I have been alone, a total bachelor with no relationships or dating of any kind, all my life. For me, meeting someone is like an impossible dream (that is one of the difficulties I have with the romance genre on the cafe--I can't relate to it.) I always wondered--what is it like to be wanted? what does it mean to be loved?
I guess that is a mystery for other people to know.

Hi Tate,
It has been a while, though not too long, since I last reviewed a poem of yours.
From the photo image to the words I was moved.
Yes, I wonder often of this or that... but for lucky me after a rather long "search" I did find my hearts desire.
Your poem is so good for my vivid imagination... and because of that I sit here and wonder.
Destiny can be a cruel game...right... we all need to sit up and listen to the call...the actual moment when love is right...and then go for it...
Loved your words Tate.. Thank you so much for sharing,
Lisa

I know what it is like to break bones...not easy and of course more work for the spouse. I too have not been on as much... seems like there is always so much to do.
I try to read a few poets works every morning while I have a Cappuccino and then a green drink. Working on a couple new poems but they are taking longer to finish than usual. I did write one that I posted... Ruby Red Rose that you might like.
All my best to your wife for a speedy recovery.

dear Tate.. A beautiful Poem with deep Desires... if only we knew what Fate might bring.
We do give what we can in our Life to others... sharing a hug and helping Hand.
Love comes in many ways throughout our given days. tenderly, Pat

This poem came from the thought that we walk past people who we could’ve possibly been in love with another day another time who knows what would’ve happened if we had just turned right instead of left at any given time in life.
Thought provoking and romantic poem. Beautifully composed. Some people are successful in meeting their soul mate,.most I believe are not in the right place at the right time. However, I do believe there is a soul mate for everyone out there. You just have to find them. Not easy in my opinion. All good wishes Tate.

Memories of war and leaving loved ones, from the picture, could not be more relevant today, but for different reasons. I can picture a teen in the now, writing something similar in the future, bit regretting never seeng their face for having theirs glued to their screen. :)
If you think about it, meeting that one who will change your life has suchmassive odds against it, that its a miracle it ever happens, yet it does. But we shall always have regrets path to look forward to, as we ponder all the possibles that could have played out.
You have got my mind busy with all my possibles playing. Right now im thinking how grateful I am for a date not working out. She had a cake shop and I would have been a blimp by now :)
Keep pondering.

Now and then I do look. However I must have opened this on my phone while driving and forgot to respond later.Im sorry. I agree children and phones who woulda thunk it? When we were children it wasnt a problem. but we live in the new world now. Heaven help us if we ever have to live in the peaceful past again lol
I think you speak for us all, in this well presented poem. It is said, that one meets one's Soul Mate many times in many guises, but one never actually marries her (him). Except, perhaps, as you suggest, after we have passed through many lifetimes! Or, perhaps, in the Great Beyond?
