Then Comes the Rain

Then Comes the Rain

A Poem by November Gold
"

Like a weed u grow in the garden of my life, Taking away nutrients and sucking me dry.

"

I woke up this morning

You on my mind,

How easily you come to me

Too easy to find.

I don’t want you here

In my sacred space,

I want to push you out

Forget your face.

But you linger like a scent on the breeze,

You tickle my imagination

Haunt my heart with graceless ease.

A friend you are not, a lover you can’t be,

I need to let you go now so

The wings of my spirit can be free.

Then the rain comes like a gift from above,

Washing away the hurt

Replacing it with the hope of love.

Most excellent. This so describes the turmoil in my life. I couldnt have said it better. You captured perfectly what it feels like to put the finishing touches on the end of a relationship and know its the right thing to do for your sanity. It's like an awakening knowing that person has no place in your heart or life. Kuddos Kiddo!!

Wow. That just blew me away, in a positive sense, haha. Wonderful potrayal of a love that you long to be free of but can not. I love the simple rhymes and it just adds to the beauty of the poem. Loved it. great write! :)

This is smooth, soft and something we can call understand.. The pain of letting go of something that strong is huge, but in the end the rain always washes away the hurt...xx Love it...xx

Wonderfully vivid love, the rain can cleanse a lot of pain, it would seem and is always a beautiful metaphor for healing and emotion in a poem xx

This is brilliantly inspiring...it evokes a change in everyone. The kind of change where we all grow our own wings and take full flight to success, no more spirals down. I hope you get what you're seeking through this poem.
