My Little, Tomboy SisterA Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnneA poem I wrote for my younger sister Jeanine, when she was 7 years old
I remember... When you were just a little girl No dresses for you or hair with curls Basketballs and footballs, motorbikes and denim Not pretty little dresses in soft, pastel linens. You were quite the little tomboy A sight to behold Your baseball hats turned backwards "No dolls for me"! we were most certainly told!
You marched along to drums of your own Sreading your tiny wings. Then one day you grew up What a sight to behold You went from a tomboy into a real girl Your wings turned you into a butterfly Such a delicate, beautiful sight We all knew God's plan was good After all..... Isn't He always right?
