About Me
My first novel was inspired by my own childhood on Pungo Creek in rural North Carolina where I grew up in a house shared by three generations. It seems it took a lifetime to write but it was actually only three years.
My second novel, FANNY'S TATTOO, was written in 28 days.
My husband and I share our lives with an stubborn Samoyed and a sweet Dalmatian/Pointer mix. We divide our time between Falls Church, Virginia and Solomons Island, Maryland.
I am currently at work on a memoir about my year on a commune in Embudo New Mexico.
Writing is a lonely business and I need lots of support. I have found many teachers, mentors and friends through the International Women's Writing Guild. If you are interested in learning more about the IWWG you might check their website - www.iwwg.org.
